F: she told me you wanted to see the grand prix on september. let me know and we can watch it from my office lah. (in his thick singlish accent).
Me: no waaay! you aren’t serious, are you??? aye, your office at suntec has the view of the road circuit. been meaning to score tickets but, dooooh! hotel packages are ridiculous!
F: for sure. but you can book a hotel off the circuit. and don’t buy those 3 day pass tickets for walkabout or those pit grandstand seats. let’s just watch it from our office. how about that?
Me: Sheryll, what do you think? i can’t say no to him you know that (then winks)
S: come on then!
Me: Ok, F, let’s talk about this again later then let’s plan from there. it’s an invitation i can’t really turn down, cuz geee! i’d really luv to see the the race.
F: ok, just let me know once you’ve booked your flights, lah. we can go out for some drinks too in between.
