it’s therapeutic to run, if i may add

last sat, went up to the mountains. what a relief! i was confronted with a lot of more important stuff i kept on brushing off my mind cos i was too into my stuff. i realized life doesn’t work that way. we are all stewards and we should be responsible stewards of time, of money, of talents, of gifts and everything that is in us. :-) i realized too how trees bear best fruits thru pruning. adversities are never there to break us…they shape us.

i came down recharged and enlightened. thanks to that quiet moment.

finally last sunday, i found the courage to speak with my dad. i thought the timing was right when we were watching the philippine vs iran game on telly (which by the way a heartbreaker). told him of what happened and how difficult it was for me not having him as my no.1 comforter at that time. i mustered all the strength i have to fight those tears to fall cos i don’t want to rub off to him my grief over it…but who am i kidding? my spirit was broken and there i was perfectly seated right beside the man who knows me through and through but loves me just the same. would i let that chance past without taking out the im-not-really-ok-but-i’m-ok mask? that very moment i knew i just got to release it. my dad gave a deep sigh and said, “hayaan mo na yun, kikitain mo din yan. wag mo na lang isipin, at magiging pabigat pa sa kalooban mo yan.” (on his sweet batangueno tone). haaay! i luv my dad.

load is definitely so much lighter.

now, i’m contemplating on whether to pursue the case or not. my dad thinks this is a shoot to the moon case and might as well not waste more money and time to it anymore. i’m very inclined to do just as told, thus this afternoon, when i received an unexpected call from NBI’s public assistance office to visit them in one of the hotels in manila to discuss my case and to help me and other investors in the chase for the fund, i just replied politely and thanked them for their invite. this group i think who is now seeking NBI’s help is taking the steps opposite to that of tina tuason’s group (pipc manila & few investors) that engaged ferrier hodgson and file a case against that ceo! (as discussed on a supposed secret meeting of pipc & its investors last thursday at valle verde 6 clubhouse – this deserves a separate post). they are determined to take a class suit not only against ML but also to tina tuason and all the other incorporators of pipc.

this case will definitely be a long journey before we could even get a decision, so much so to get our money back. and it’s one thing i’m not willing to take. i got a life to live and i’m in the process already of getting up from where i fell. sure i still am affected everytime i’d hear it on the news, or someone would call me and ask about it, or i’d see a link to it, but these are all collective ways to remind me of the mistake once made and to teach me not to commit the same mistake again.

to all you guys, your support was overwhelming. and to that person whom i made peace with maybe your manang is just right, you just don’t know how to express your sympathy in a positive manner, but really, you care.

hello world! this chick will definitely come back…sooner than you think :-)

glad to hear you’re getting past this, banggi. nothing like a quiet retreat and a heart to heart with your pop to help put things in perspective.
