her justification

if her life is not that of a hamster in a corporate world, she’d rather splurge to her scuba stuff or running gear or surfing board. but she belongs to those whose day in day out concerns include market analyses, real estate movements, economic profile, industry sector growth and other serious stuff most people would rather not dip their fingers to.

am i complaining?

absolutely not.

yes, it would dictate you to wear those pinstriped black suits with the requisite signature bag & shoes sometimes and not let your hair down on friday nights, but it’s the same world that allows you to taste some of the world’s finest things in life (well at least for me) like a chill out to some far flung islands whilst sipping that tropical fruit shake (read: green mango), immerse in a time treasured cultural city or witness celebration of life through music, sports and arts and lets you afford everything in between.

trade-offs indeed.

it is a trade off talaga, bangge. if you ask me what i like to wear, i’d probably say — flipflops, shorts, my gold old linen bag and plain white shirt (none signature brands pa yan hah!). but the world we live is a bit shallow, infectiously shallow pa minsan. dba? (in my opinion) i admit, paminsan minsan eh nadadala din ako. so i opt for compromise, i wear signature clothes to work (from the clearance rack). but at home i can be comfy in anything (random and unknown brand names. with the words ‘made in china’) hahahah! just my two cents po =)

pero, i love your bag hah! so attracted to bamboo handles, unfortunately eh di naman ako pwedeng mag-bag ng ganyan. for ill definitely attract some crowd. hangang messenger and clutch bags lang ang beauty ko!

you really can’t have one without the other, so yep, trade-offs indeed. i do complain a lot, but i know that without the “rush”, i wouldn’t achieve the “high”, so-to-speak. :)

nel, ditto. i’m all for comfy so tees, shorts and flipflops are my faves! but as you put it, we opt to compromise sometimes. and yeah i luv it too! :-) the design is a straightforward bag no thrills no frills but i soo soo like it. thanks to cecile for the bag! :-)

abby, so true. so our transaction ah? hahah! you know what i mean! ;-)

oo naman, lemme know if you get it at HK though, i’ll check it again today.

the gucci bag was from chuvaness’ multiply site? i wanted the Tod’s bag there, but i don’t know how i’ll get it.

Oh, I lived that life too and learned early on that it wasn’t for me. Unlike you, I was completely unhappy and thought it wasn’t worth the money no matter how much they paid. It’s good you’re able to find the perfect balance between tons of work and lots of play…and you’re happy while you’re at it :)
